About the event

Want to get advice and practical information on how to succeed as an Aussie-based screenwriter looking to tap into the Hollywood and worldwide markets?

Following on from MMA’s recent Special Event with Invention Studios VP Nicky Weinstock (Severance, Bridesmaids, Get Him To The Greek), we’re delighted to present this session with Invention’s Melbourne-based rep Carmen Knox who is currently working with a range of Australia-based writing talent and is keen to encourage more emerging writers to look outwards to the US and the world!

In this session, Carmen will be giving her insights and practical guidance for emerging Aussie screenwriters, including information about an exciting Invention Studios initiative - a global creative network called Craft Services - which is open to new and emerging screenwriters right here, right now in Australia!

Carmen will be sharing invaluable insights and practical information on how to apply to be part of this unique global writing community – regardless of previous professional experience or connections in the business! As well as talking in depth about the big idea and ethos that underpins Craft Services, she’ll be enlightening us about the submission process and highlighting what materials and information Aussie writers need in order to give themselves the best chance of getting access to this amazing opportunity.

This is a must-attend session for any emerging screenwriters in Australia looking for a better understanding of the US/global landscape for new and emerging writers - and who may be looking for an opportunity that will help them gain information on, relationships with and/or greater exposure to Hollywood and the worldwide entertainment industry. So what are you waiting for? Grab a place NOW and come be part of the conversation!
