About the event
Join prolific TV director, writer, and creator Erin White for an intimate chat about her experiences pitching to direct TV and creating original shows. She'll share the visual materials that landed her the coveted role of set-up director on the hit Netflix show Wellmania starring Celeste Barber and discuss her tools for success. Pitch documents, mood boards, trailers, and scripts - what do you need? She'll share what's worked for her and what hasn’t. Plus plenty of time for Q+A.
Erin White is a multi-award-winning writer and director whose work is characterized by nuanced and emotionally truthful performances, arresting visuals, and seamless storytelling. In 2022 she was the set-up director on the Netflix series Wellmania starring Celeste Barber.
Erin is the creator of AcornTV and TVNZ’s Under The Vines starring Rebecca Gibney and UK’s Charles Edwards. Erin is a director on the 1st and 3rd series (currently in pre-production) and she is also an episode writer across seasons 1, 2 and 3.
She has many Australian television series directing credits including a block of Helium/ Paramount+’s upcoming new show Paper Dolls, Doctor Doctor S4 & S5 (Easy Tiger / Nine Network), PMs Daughter (Fremantle Australia / ABCTV) Squinters S2 (Jungle Entertainment / ABCTV); It’s A Date (Princess Pictures / ABCTV), At Home With Julia (Quail TV / ABCTV), Timothy (Quail TV / ABCTV); a one-off drama adaptation of the Lally Katz’s stage play, Stories I Want To Tell You In Person (Matchbox Pictures / ABCTV); and police thriller Rush (Southern Star / Network Ten).
