From development and writing to budgeting and securing funding to nailing that all-important ingredient known as "path to audience," we've got you covered!
Join producer Serena Hunt (Phi and Me) for a deep-dive into all the possible ways to finance your project, including submitting successful applications to Screen Australia, crowdfunding strategies and more. Hear from veteran creatives who have had recent wins and plan your strategy for success. Saturday June 24th at 10am.
In this workshop you will walk through the various pathways to funding, along with special guests who will share their recent successes in financing their series. You’ll learn about:
- Screen Oz funding - tips to write a successful application
- Product placement and sponsorship
- How the Shooting schedule informs the budget
Serena Hunt is a 3rd generation Chinese Australian Producer who is passionate about all cultures and how people choose to blend and balance them. She thoroughly enjoys sharing her knowledge to help empower new film makers. She has taught at AFTRS, Sydney Film School, Metro Screen and NIDA. She draws upon over ten years working as an Assistant Director and Producer with Paul Fenech and the team behind the Logie award winning SBS cult comedy series Housos, Pizza and Swift and Shift Couriers and more recently Fat Pizza-Back in Business and Housos 2020 for 7mate. In 2019 Serena released Phi and Me, the first Vietnamese-Australian comedy web series supported by Screen Australia. Webfest awards include Melbourne, NZ and Sicily Webfests. More about Serena here.
