PITCH-IN

Creative Process and Pitching Workshops for Early Career Content Creators

Every creative, it seems, has a slate of ideas they want to make.  But it’s not realistic.  You need to focus and put your best idea forward.  This series of workshops will help you achieve that.

Participants will be guided through how to select the best, grow the idea, construct a pitch to showcase the creative ambition and the idea and, excitingly rehearse and pitch to your peers.

Compton has developed a unique way of collating detailed and quantified feedback through a system called Greenlight.  We’ll be using this system to ensure participants receive useful and practical feedback on their idea.

You’ll also learn how to schedule, budget and lead projects.

You don’t have to pitch (though we’d love it if you do). You can come along as an observer.

Participants will be taught by experts in their fields such as producer Sue Maslin (The Dressmaker, The Show Must Go On), Dr David Court (founder of Compton School and former Head of Screen Business at AFTRS), Denise Eriksen (co-founder of Media Mentors and former Head of Production and Development at SBS and Head of Factual at the ABC), and Andy Pontin (former CEO of Clemenger BBDO).

By the end of these workshops, you’ll be more confident in choosing your projects and definitely better at pitching them.
